TOO MANY WORDS AT ONE TIME
Try and learn 5 words tops a day.
WORD-FOR-WORD TRANSLATION
Each language is specific, and its structures won't allow for word for word translations. Accept it.
SIMPLICITY
When speaking, don't avoid whole sentences.
UNDERSTAND EVERY WORD
The aim of communication is to get the message across as a whole, not to understand every word (necessarily).
